A Note Before You Order
"We are not very good at making things instantly. We are rather particular about making them matter."
We thought this was the right thing to tell you before you place an order with us.
It might take longer than you think.
Our usual production time is 25–50 business days. But this is an estimate, not a promise.
We work with artisanal fabrics, handloom, Kalamkari, modal, ajrakh and many others. They have their own weights, textures, weaves and finishes, and they don’t always behave the way quick production expects them to.
And quite often, one garment brings several of them together.
The top might come from one weaver, the pants from another, and the dupatta from somewhere else. If one fabric isn’t ready, we wait. If they don’t sit right together, we adjust.
We know you want your clothes quickly. We do too.
But making everything faster would mean choosing what is readily available, using fewer fabrics and making things easier to reproduce.
That’s not what we want Poonghuzhalii to become.
You don’t have to take our word for it. Go through our products. You’ll see how often different fabrics, artisans and crafts come together in one garment.
That is also why some pieces may take longer, occasionally, considerably longer.
We’re putting this here before you pay us because online shopping can be scary. We don’t want you to discover the waiting only after you’ve placed your order.
If you have a wedding, trip, birthday, function, anything with a date attached to it, please speak to us before ordering. We’ll tell you honestly what we think we can do.
No false promises.
When you order from us, you’re not buying something sitting on a shelf waiting to be packed.
You’re asking us to make it.
So please order only if you’re comfortable giving your piece the time it may need.
We promise that while you wait, we’re not waiting around.
We’re making.
